4-5
lb
bone-in or boneless pork shoulder
also called pork butt
2
teaspoon
kosher, pickling, or sea salt
or other large flake salt
1
teaspoon
freshly ground pepper
1
teaspoon
ground cumin
1
teaspoon
ground chili powder
1
teaspoon
ground smoked paprika
10-12
cloves
garlic
whole and peeled

cups
chicken stock
preferably homemade

onion

Instructions
Rinse and lightly pat dry your pork shoulder. Then mix together the salt, pepper and spices in a small bowl.
Rub that spice mixture all over the pork, getting it into every nook and cranny.
Use a small kitchen knife to make several punctures on all sides of the meat to stuff the garlic into. Push each clove into the pork.
Pour the chicken stock into the slow cooker, then place the pork into the slow cooker
Place the sliced onion on top. Cover the slow cooker and set it on low for 8 hours.
Once it's cooked, shred with a fork and serve.

Pulled pork sandwiches, tacos, or just on its own!
